Vice Chairman of IPT, Dr. Toni Issa, took part in a webinar organized on July 2nd by Griffin Leadership under the title of "Substituting Foreign Labor by Lebanese Labor", to discuss and evaluate the ongoing impact of IPT's "Hiring Lebanese" initiative.
In his intervention, Dr. Issa highlighted that unemployment by the end of 2020 is expected to reach one million individuals, which is equivalent to 65% of the workforce. This shock hitting our country and population calls for crucial need to fight back and try to persevere. Discussing the idea behind IPT's "Hiring Lebanese", Dr. Issa explained that it was IPT's own initiative, launched at the time in anticipation of rising unemployment and deteriorating social and economic conditions in the country. This move towards creating job opportunities has nowadays become urgent and even mandatory to be applied across all industries.
Dr. Issa also promised IPT’s commitment to continue expanding this positive change to its network of stations all over the country, and to encourage its adoption by other stations as well. Watch webinar to know more.
