Under the patronage of the President of the Council of Ministers His Excellency Mr. Saad Hariri, IPT Energy Center (IPTEC) and e-EcoSolutions with the strategic support of Berytech, the Order of Engineers & Architects of Beirut, UNDP, GCNL, USJ, and the French Institute in Lebanon are organizing the Urb-Hackathon in Beirut, under the theme "Data-Urbanism: Reducing City Air Pollution from Transport". The Urb-Hackathon will take place for the First time in Lebanon and the Middle East, after France and Korea, with the support of La Cité Des Sciences Et De L'Industrie in Paris:

* What is the "Urb-Hackathon"?
The Hackathon is a sprint-like event in which passionate university students, entrepreneurs and professionals form groups, and meet to work on resolving addressed problems in a limited time frame, and in the most technological, advanced and innovative ways and then turn these ideas and suggestions into projects that can be implemented by concerned authorities to solve the problems experienced by Lebanese cities, or at least to help solve them.
