For the 4th year in a row, IPT Energy Center (IPTEC) is partnering with the International Beirut Energy Forum (IBEF 2018), the yearly forum discussing all topics related to renewable energy and energy efficiency under the title of "Digitalization in Sustainable Energy: Expanding the Investment Frontiers".
In a complementary step to its efforts in the field of energy conservation, IPTEC is participating in IBEF this year in a session entitled "Transition Towards Sustainable Transport Solutions", organized in collaboration with the UNDP, MoEW, USEK, and Phoenix Energy. The session will take place on the 26th of September at Le Royal Dbayeh.
*About the Session
Because changing the current transportation trend in Lebanon presents a significant challenge and requires the cooperation of different stakeholders, the session will act as a platform for the public sector, private sector, academic sector and international organizations to tackle this subject on all levels. It will discuss the transition towards a sustainable, clean and energy efficient transport system in Lebanon through presenting ambitious solutions that can reduce the reliance on non-renewable energy sources and improve air quality in urban areas, and will therefore feature interventions on sustainable transportation, biodiesel production and use, and electric vehicles and solar electric vehicles chargers, among others.
