IPT was established in Lebanon in 1990. It specializes in the, storage, sales and distribution of petroleum products. Over the years, IPT has grown to become one of the leading Lebanese petroleum companies. It has been certified with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015, showcasing its commitment to maintaining international standards in quality, health and safety, and environmental management.

ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS), providing a framework for improving quality and establishing a common language for organizations aiming to deliver products and services that meet customer requirements, ensure stakeholders' satisfaction, and promote continual improvement and efficiency.
ISO 45001:2018 focuses on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), ensuring a safe working environment by managing risks and reducing incidents related to employee health and safety.
ISO 14001:2015 is dedicated to Environmental Management, setting guidelines for minimizing environmental impacts and promoting sustainability within the organization.

IPT successfully obtained certifications for its IMS and become the first company in Lebanon’s oil and gas/energy sector to achieve such certification.

ISO 9001:2015 Upgrade

In preparation for ISO upgrade, the Quality department organized a workshop entitled “Steps for the Transition to ISO 9001:2015 the Successful Way” addressed to the heads of departments and selected Quality representatives. IPT got ISO 9001:2015 upgrade and successfully re-certified in 23 September 2018 by Bureau Veritas-UKAS.

Improvement Challenges Despite the Lebanese economic crises, the catastrophic inflation of the national currency and the collapse of the national economy, IPT still faces the challenges and difficulties by adopting a continuous improvement (CI) methodologies built on her solid pillars of commitment, strategy, processes, performance and QHSE international standard, to improve customer satisfaction, reduce operating cost and achieve its vision and mission.
Advancing Safety, Health, and Environmental Practices in Preparation for IMS IPT focused on strengthening its Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) practices as a preparatory phase for launching the Integrated Management System (IMS) project. Key initiatives included comprehensive risk assessments, enhanced safety protocols, and targeted environmental sustainability measures. Employee awareness programs and training sessions were conducted to reinforce a culture of safety and compliance. Efforts also extended to improving emergency preparedness and waste management strategies. These proactive steps ensured a solid foundation for IMS implementation, aligning IPT with international best practices.
Launching the Integrated Management System Project The year 2024 marked the beginning of IPT's ambitious Integrated Management System (IMS) project, encompassing quality, health and safety, and environmental management. This project, which spanned six months, involved rigorous planning and execution to align with international standards. By the end of the year, IPT successfully obtained certifications for its IMS, and become the first company in Lebanon’s oil and gas/energy sector to achieve such certification. This milestone marks a new era of professional excellence and continuous development.
Sustaining Excellence: IPT’s Commitment to QHSE and IMS Awareness IPT's focus shifted to maintaining the Integrated Management System and ensuring ongoing awareness of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) principles among all employees. Efforts were made to extend this awareness to network stations, reinforcing the importance of these standards across the entire organization. This ongoing commitment to QHSE ensures that IPT remains at the forefront of industry’s best practices
