Elf: A Story of Success
Elf lubricants’ story can be traced back to 1939. Back then, Elf was owned by the French government until 1994 when its ownership was transferred to a privately owned corporation. In 2000, Elf merged with Total, the fifth largest oil company worldwide. Elf made its first appearance in motor sports in 1968 by sponsoring a Formula 1 Renault Racing Car. From there on, Elf’s name became attached to Formula 1 race in addition to other motor sports.

With continuous research and innovation, Elf was able to stay on top of technology in the motor world giving the best solutions for every era. Providing solutions for all engine types and adaptable to all circumstances, Elf became one of the most used lubricants for rally cars and motorcycles. Elf’s achievements in motor races over the years are evidence of the brand’s great success.

In 2011, IPT signed an agreement with the global leader Total to provide high-quality products conforming to European specifications. IPT has thus become the official distributor of Elf in Lebanon with a wide range of Elf lubricants always available on all IPT stations suitable for all engine types.
