How to Have an Eco-friendly Easter?

Use these natural green living Easter tips to reduce your carbon footprints and make your children happy on Easter morning.

You can make your own Easter basket or up-cycle one from something you would ordinarily get rid of or throw into the recycle bin (papers, straws, egg cartons …).

Also boil your eggs in water, vinegar, and natural dyes instead of petroleum-based ones. Red beets, black coffee, yellow turmeric, spinach, grape juice, and blueberries are all ingredients you may already have in your cupboard.
Miniature muffins, dried pineapple, yogurt covered raisins, trail mix and reduced-sugar granola bars are kid-friendly favorites. Buy organic or make your own to reduce packaging and pollution.

You can plant a tree on Easter too, as a symbol of renewal. And you can include this activity in the Easter egg hunt, buy seedlings from your local greenhouse or florist and hide them for your kids to find.

And for a green Easter diner, Arrange carpools to reduce pollution and if you are using disposable dishes, avoid plastic, Styrofoam or even certain paper products.
And have a blessed and happy waste free Easter.
