Celebrities Raising Awareness on Coronavirus
Millions of people worldwide are taking safety precautions against the Coronavirus, and celebrities are no exception. Therefore, celebrities and influencers in Lebanon and in the world are using their fame to warn fans about staying protected against Coronavirus. Social Media is one of the major means used to spread the word and many famous people are using the recently launched hashtag #DoingMyPartCo to raise awareness on the best practices and social distancing to stop the spread of Coronavirus.
Other public figures like Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba and several athletes that have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus are using their own diagnosis to raise awareness and encourage others to self-isolate. Hence, Hanks wrote on his Instagram page “We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else”.
Worth noting that according to Worldometers around 80 900 cases recovered from Covid-19.
