Scientists pointed 3 main causes of the Amazon Fire each related to human activity.
- Illegal deforestation, the Amazon has lost an area half the size of Rhodes Island in July only.
- Farming: for farmers fire is a standard tool to clear out brush and help maintain an area of for agricultural use.
- Drought that occurs more frequently and severely because of climate change and deforestation. Less water dries or even kills the trees providing more fuel for more fires.
Researchers alerted of the coming driest part of the year and they affirmed that they have seen more fires this year than ever before.
Researchers ringed the bell! It is time to take actions globally before it is too late to hold climate change which is becoming more impossible every day.
