In 2016, IPT installed a Photovoltaic System and solar water heaters on the roof of its headquarters in Amchit. This step comes in line with IPT's strategy to reduce pollution and conserve energy.
The Solar power system uses 126 solar panels installed on the headquarter's canopy, producing 32 KWh peak of power transferred directly to the electrical grid through inverters. The system has an actual production of 50 MWh/year which will translate into annual savings of around $6,000 and greenhouse gases saving of 32 Tons.
