Dr. Issa Participating in the Arab Oil and Gas Conference

The Arab Organization of Young Lawyers organized on the 10th, 11th and 12th of July "The Arab Oil and Gas Conference: Between Challenges and Law" at the Lancaster Hotel - Ramlet Al Bayda under the patronage of his Excellency President of the Parliament Nabih Berre and in the presence of local and regional representatives in the field of oil and gas.

Dr. Toni Issa had a word at the opening ceremony on July 11 as President of the Energy Committee in Beirut Lawyers Syndicate, and had another intervention on the first day of the workshop that summarized the local situation of the oil and gas sector and the roles of the private and public sectors in the Lebanese petrol market.

Dr. Issa also stressed the importance of oil exploration in the Lebanese waters. He explained that if this opportunity is taken correctly, this sector would contribute to reducing shortages and support the recovery of industrial competitiveness.

He added that the oil output revenues can be used to lessen the weight of the public debt and help the economy achieve a higher growth rate. Besides, he focused on how to prepare the youth, especially young lawyers, for the next phase during which Lebanon will hopefully become an oil producing country.

This event was sponsored by IPT Energy Center (IPTEC).
