IPTEC Participates in the “UN at 70” Roundtable Discussion

In celebration of its 70th anniversary, the United Nations in Lebanon held an open discussion on Peace and Security, Social Justice, Youth, Human Rights and Rule of Law, Environment and Climate Change, and Lebanon 2030 on Wednesday October 21st at Biel.

Dr. Toni Issa, President and Founder of IPTEC, was pleased to be part of the panel session on Environment and Climate Change. The session explored in an interactive approach how climate change action is central in meeting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and discussed the challenges in the implementation of Lebanon’s commitments in light of the current situation of development challenges, regional turmoil and political instability. Dr. Issa tackled the role of the private sector in contributing to achieving sustainable and low carbon development in Lebanon and in helping the Lebanese government meet its commitments.

At IPTEC, we care about the promotion of clean, alternative and renewable energy solutions. Our participation in the “UN at 70” event expresses our commitment to combat climate change and to adopt a sustainable approach to preserve energy resources, reduce pollution and protect the environment.
