Believing in the essential role of the private sector in local development, Michel Issa Foundation- for Local Development (M.I.F.) was founded in January 2012 to promote the concept of local development as a main factor that builds local capacities through the implementation of non-profit projects, in cooperation with concerned authorities and through supporting the civil society and local administrations.
Its founder, IPT Chairman and businessman Michel Issa, started his journey in his hometown Amchit where he established his business to become a role model in contributing to economic and social development on the local level.
M.I.F. launched its first projects in Amchit in collaboration with the Municipality of Amchit and commits to expand its scope of work and activities to different Lebanese regions to bridge the gap between the public and private sectors, strengthen social capacities and enhance the sense of social belonging.
