Change starts with action! Our beaches are being littered at an alarming rate. On the occasion of the Earth Month, IPT, in line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility, took part in Amchit Beach Cleaning Day on Sunday the 25th of April, organized by Amchit Club, in collaboration with M&R Recycling Company and Amchit Municipality.
To avoid the use of plastic bags and gloves, everyone was handed bucket bins and pickers. Several groups were formed to ensure a coverage of an area greater than 2km.
All recyclables (carboard, plastic, nylon, glass and paper) were collected by M&R and transported to their plant in Gherfine while the Municipality of Amchit took charge of the non-recyclable materials which were collected in large reusable plastic knitted bags and then transported to the landfill in Gherfine for proper processing.
IPT is once more thankful to its team who never fails to participate in such initiatives. Together, we can make a difference!
