Under the continuity of IPT's CSR theme for the year 2023, "IPT Sorts", IPTEC & Caroline Chaptini signed an agreement on Tuesday 31st January 2023 at IPT Headquarters in Amchit in the presence of Mrs. Catherine Bonnaud, Regional Director of AFD to support "#Khalas Plastic" (Stop Plastic), an awareness campaign on the dangers of plastic and its negative impact, launched by the French Development Agency (AFD) in Tripoli last year and continued by IPT Energy Center (IPTEC),The CSR Arm of IPT, this year.
During May, artist Caroline Chaptini will be building a giant turtle in Amchit coast from bottle caps, filling it with large quantities of sorted plastic waste brought by neighboring citizens and students throughout the month.
Once collected and recycled, proceeds will go to support charitable and humanitarian NGO's within the community.
