IPTEC celebrates 4th year of sponsoring WRO Lebanon and launches new Sustainability Award under Ministerial Patronage
Under the patronage of H.E. Kamal Chehade, Lebanon’s Minister of Technology and Artificial Intelligence, IPT Energy Center (IPTEC) proudly marked its fourth consecutive sponsorship of the World Robot Olympiad Lebanon (WRO), one of the most exciting STEM competitions for youth globally.

Held at Platea, Jounieh, the 2025 edition welcomed over 550 students from more than 100 schools, showcasing robotics projects that combined creativity, teamwork, and technical skill. Students competed in various global WRO categories including RoboMission, RoboSports, Future Engineers, and Future Innovators.

This year, IPTEC introduced a major milestone(to be removed): the first-ever "IPT Sustainability Award", aimed at encouraging young innovators to tackle real environmental challenges through robotics and artificial intelligence. Nine teams presented eco-focused innovations, and after careful review by the IPT jury, one winning project was selected for its originality and sustainable impact.

Speaking on behalf of Dr. Toni M. Issa, President of IPTEC, Dr. Emile Moghabghab shared:
“At IPT, we believe sustainability must be at the core of innovation. This award reflects our belief in Lebanon’s youth and their power to reimagine tomorrow through technology and purpose.”
Minister Chehade commended the students’ achievements and thanked IPT for its continuous support, highlighting the importance of public-private collaboration in building a digitally empowered generation.

As a longstanding sponsor of WRO Lebanon, IPT Energy Center (IPTEC) continues to invest in the future of STEM education, robotics, and sustainability innovation, bridging technical learning with national progress.
