In line with its commitment to environmental stewardship and community engagement, IPT marked World Water Day with an immersive volunteer experience at the Mseilha Water Dam, one of Lebanon’s most strategic water infrastructure landmarks.
This unique outing was part of IPT’s ongoing volunteer program, giving participants the chance to discover the environmental and strategic importance of water conservation in Lebanon. Volunteers joined an expert-led session that highlighted the dam’s role in securing water resources for northern regions, while addressing the challenges of sustainable water management in a changing climate. The day continued with a guided hike along the Mseilha Trail, offering stunning views of the natural landscape and the historic Mseilha Fortress, merging environmental education with cultural appreciation.
This initiative underscores IPT’s active role in promoting environmental awareness, supporting sustainable development goals, and fostering a deeper connection between people and Lebanon’s natural heritage.
