IPT, Recyco and Amchit Municipality Join Forces to Advance Recycling
IPT has officially launched “IPT Btefroz - Managed by Recyco” at IPT Izeaa Station in Amchit, in collaboration with Recyco and the Municipality of Amchit. The initiative brings together the three parties around a shared objective: encouraging responsible waste management, recycling and greater environmental awareness within the community.
IPT Btefroz provides individuals with an accessible location to bring eligible recyclable materials that have been properly sorted at the source. The booth will be operated and managed by Recyco, which will receive, sort and weigh the materials and compensate individuals according to the applicable rates.
The collaboration also extends beyond the booth, with Recyco collecting recyclable materials from IPT headquarters in Amchit and Beirut.
As part of the initiative, IPT and Recyco are also launching a plastic bottle collection and recycling campaign at selected IPT stations. Dedicated collection bins will allow customers and community members to dispose of plastic bottles responsibly, while Recyco will manage their collection, transportation, sorting, recovery and recycling.
Through IPT Btefroz, IPT, Recyco and the Municipality of Amchit aim to make recycling more accessible, encourage sorting at the source and increase community participation in responsible waste management.
Progress will be followed through periodic reporting on the quantities and weight of recyclable materials collected, helping measure the environmental and community impact of the initiative.
The launch reflects IPT’s ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, circular economy practices and sustainable initiatives that create a positive and lasting impact within the communities it serves.
