Education isn’t just about textbooks and exams, it’s about discovery, creativity, and growth. But for many students in Lebanon’s public schools, opportunities to explore their talents beyond the classroom are limited. That’s why IPT is stepping in to fund a groundbreaking initiative, implemented by the Michel Issa Foundation (MIF), to bring free extracurricular activities to students in Byblos. For the first time in Lebanon’s public school system, students from all backgrounds will have access to programs that ignite creativity, build confidence, and develop real-world skills.
Running every Saturday throughout 2025, this initiative is more than just an after-school program, it’s a chance to dream bigger, to be part of something inspiring, and to grow in ways they never imagined possible.
In robotics and mental arithmetic, students will sharpen their problem-solving and critical thinking skills, gaining hands-on experience in STEM fields. Through dance and theatre, they’ll find new ways to express themselves, boost their confidence, and explore their artistic side. And on the football and basketball courts, open to both boys and girls, they’ll learn teamwork, discipline, and the power of perseverance.
These activities aren’t just about fun, they’re about building brighter futures. Studies show that students who engage in extracurricular activities are more motivated, develop stronger social skills, and perform better academically. But too many children miss out simply because they don’t have access to these opportunities. MIF is changing that, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, has the chance to grow, explore, and thrive, it’s about empowerment, inclusion, and unlocking potential.
Because when we invest in young minds, we invest in a stronger, more innovative, and more hopeful future for Lebanon, follow us to see how this initiative is shaping young lives and creating new opportunities for Lebanon’s future generation!
