On August 10th 2023, IPT employees participated in a conference hosted by the environmental activist and waste management expert, Mr. Ziad Abi Chaker, founder of Cedar Environmental LLC.
For more than 20 years, Mr Abi Chaker, an engineer, has lived and worked according to a philosophy whereby waste is also perceived as a resource, rather than simply a burden. In a country undermined by environmental crisis, he proposes innovative solutions with the goal of transforming waste into sustainable materials. His profound expertise has propelled him to become a prominent advocate for sustainability, both on a local and global scale.
The conference proved to be an invaluable platform for attendees, delivering profound insights and knowledge regarding sustainability. Mr. Abi Chaker extensive experience coupled with his innovative mindset served as a catalyst for generating fresh ideas, inspiring all of us to elevate the boundaries of sustainability within our company and well beyond.
In Parallel to this event, IPT's sustainability unit started a competition among the various departments to encourage recycling practices and nurture collaboration.
