In partnership with the Cooperative Association of Fishermen, The Michel Issa Foundation for Local Development held an inauguration ceremony for the newly established solar energy system in the port of Amchit on December 19, 2023. The event was attended by presidents of both associations, as well as officials from political, economic, commercial, and civil society sectors.

This solar initiative significantly cuts electricity expenses, providing opportunities for broader enhancements within the cooperative and supporting the livelihoods of fishermen.
