IPTEC Receives the "National Green Award" from the Ministry of Environment
The Ministry of Environment, in association with UNDP and Beyond Magazine, launched the "First National Green Award", under the auspices of the Minister of Environment H.E. Mr. Nazem El Khoury, at Phoenicia Hotel-Beirut on the 23rd of January. The event was attended by the Information Minister H.E. Mr. Walid Daouk, the Army Commander General Jean Kahwaji, ministers, ambassadors, and renowned personalities in the political and business field.

IPTEC, the IPT Energy Center, was awarded for its unprecedented initiative to carry out research and specialized specific studies and programs on energy, oil, and gas in the aim of reducing environmental pollution and using energy sources efficiently in Lebanon.

"The green award goes to IPTEC for its unique initiative of launching a national campaign for air pollution reduction through efficient energy use in land transportation in Lebanon, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment", said Ms. Rania Baroud while Minister Nazem Khoury presented the “National Green Award 2012” to Mrs. Mirna Issa, IPT Group board member, who received this award on behalf of Dr. Toni Issa, President of IPTEC (IPT Energy Center).

IPTEC was awarded along with the Lebanese Army, Mr. Riad Salameh (BDL), the EU, Italian and Spanish Ambassadors, MEA, Bank Med, MTV, Green Cedars and others who have taken noteworthy green initiatives in 2012.
